1. Overview

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through dbsa.store, operated by Distribution Boards SA (Pty) Ltd (“DBSA”, “we”, “us”).

All products sold are industrial and technical items, and shipping arrangements are subject to order confirmation, stock availability, and payment clearance.


2. Order Processing

  • Orders are processed only once full payment or the required deposit has been received and reflects in our bank account

  • Processing may also be subject to receipt of approved drawings or specifications, where applicable

  • Order confirmation will be issued once the order is accepted


3. Delivery Methods

Delivery may be arranged via:

  • DBSA-approved couriers or freight providers

  • Customer-appointed couriers (by prior arrangement)

  • Collection from DBSA premises, where agreed

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery is F.O.R. Kew, South Africa.


4. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout or quoted separately

  • Any additional charges arising from special handling, oversized items, or access limitations will be for the customer’s account


5. Delivery Lead Times

  • All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed

  • Lead times commence only upon:

    • Receipt of cleared payment or deposit, and

    • Receipt of signed manufacturing drawings or approvals (if required)

Indicative lead times are typically 4–6 weeks, depending on stock availability and manufacturing schedules.

DBSA shall not be liable for delays caused by:

  • Supplier shortages

  • Courier or freight delays

  • Force majeure events

  • Factors beyond DBSA’s reasonable control


6. Risk and Ownership

  • Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon dispatch or collection

  • Ownership remains with DBSA until full payment has been received

Customers are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance where required.


7. Delivery Inspections

Customers must:

  • Inspect goods upon delivery or collection

  • Notify DBSA of any visible damage, shortages, or incorrect items within 48 hours

Failure to report issues within this period may be deemed acceptance of the goods.


8. Failed Deliveries

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Failed delivery attempts

  • Incorrect delivery information provided by the customer

  • Delays caused by site access restrictions

Such costs will be for the customer’s account.


9. International Shipping

International shipping, where offered, is subject to:

  • Separate quotation

  • Customs clearance requirements

  • Duties, taxes, and import charges for the customer’s account

DBSA is not responsible for delays arising from customs processes.


10. Amendments

DBSA reserves the right to amend this Shipping Policy at any time. Updated versions will be published on dbsa.store.
