1. Overview

This Returns and Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through dbsa.store, operated by Distribution Boards SA (Pty) Ltd (“DBSA”, “we”, “us”).

By placing an order, you acknowledge that DBSA supplies industrial and technical products, many of which are custom-manufactured or made to order.


2. Standard (Off-the-Shelf) Products

2.1 Returns

Returns of standard, non-custom products may be considered at DBSA’s discretion, provided that:

  • The request is made within 7 days of delivery

  • The product is unused, undamaged, and in original packaging

  • The product is in a resaleable condition

DBSA reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.

2.2 Costs

Approved returns may be subject to:

  • A restocking and handling fee

  • Return freight costs, for the customer’s account


3. Custom / Made-to-Order Products

Products that are:

  • Custom-manufactured

  • Built to order

  • Modified to customer specifications

cannot be returned or refunded once manufacturing has commenced.

If a custom order is cancelled:

  • Prior to manufacturing, cancellation may be considered at DBSA’s discretion

  • Once manufacturing has started, no refunds will be issued

Cancellation may incur:

  • A handling fee

  • A design or engineering fee, where applicable


4. Incorrect or Damaged Goods

4.1 Notification

Any claims for:

  • Incorrect items supplied

  • Goods damaged in transit

must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, together with supporting photographs and documentation.

4.2 Resolution

Where DBSA confirms an error or defect attributable to DBSA:

  • The product may be repaired, replaced, or refunded at DBSA’s discretion

  • DBSA’s liability shall be limited to the value of the product supplied


5. Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be processed within a reasonable period after inspection and approval

  • Refunds will be made using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed

  • Bank processing times are outside DBSA’s control


6. Exclusions

DBSA shall not be responsible for returns or refunds arising from:

  • Incorrect product selection by the customer

  • Improper installation or handling

  • Use outside of intended or specified applications

  • Non-compliance with applicable standards or regulations

  • Normal wear and tear


7. CPA Notice

Where the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) applies, DBSA will comply with its statutory obligations. However, many products sold on dbsa.store are supplied for business or professional use, and CPA protections may be limited or excluded where permitted by law.


8. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
